Quotebolt

Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 August 2026

These are the terms you agree to by using Quotebolt. The short version: Quotebolt writes the quote, you decide the price, and you are the one who stands over it. Everything below is the longer version of that sentence.

Who you are agreeing with

Quotebolt is run by a sole trader based in Ireland ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the Quotebolt app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.

Written notice under these terms can go to the same address.

What Quotebolt does — and what it does not do

You describe a job out loud or in writing. Quotebolt turns that into a structured, priced quote using your own day rate, your own price list and your own VAT setting, and produces a PDF you can send to your customer.

The price is a draft, not a valuation. Quotebolt estimates quantities and durations from a description of a job it has never seen. It will sometimes be wrong — about the size of a room, the state of a surface, or how long something takes. Check every figure before you send it.

Once you send a quote, it is your quote. It carries your business name, your price and your terms, and it may be a binding offer under contract law. We are not a party to it, we do not guarantee the numbers in it, and we are not responsible for a job you priced too low.

Quotebolt is not accounting software, is not tax advice, and does not tell you what VAT rate to charge. The VAT rate on a quote is the rate you entered in Settings.

Your account and your customers

There is no Quotebolt account and no password — your quotes, price list and business details live on your iPhone. That means two things:

What happens to data that does leave the phone — the recording, the job description, and a published quote link — is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Free and paid plans

Quotebolt is free to download and free to use for a limited number of quotes each month. Paid plans raise that limit and unlock branding, follow-ups, share links and insights.

PlanWhat you get
Free3 new quotes per calendar month, whether you speak them or type them. Editing, re-sending and exporting quotes you have already made is never limited. Quotebolt footer on the PDF.
Pro200 new quotes per calendar month, your logo, no Quotebolt footer, automatic follow-ups, live quote links, win-rate insights.

The monthly allowance is a genuine ceiling, not marketing language: past it, the app will tell you and stop building new quotes until the 1st of the next month. We think 200 is far more than a working sole trader will ever need, and we would rather say the number than say "unlimited" and cut you off. If you legitimately need more, email us — we would like to hear about it.

Plans, prices and the features in each are shown in the app before you buy, and those are the ones that apply. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a subscription period you have already paid for.

Subscriptions, renewals and refunds

None of this removes your rights as a consumer under Irish or EU law.

Fair use

Please do not: resell or rebrand Quotebolt as your own product; use it to send quotes to people who did not ask for one; feed it content that is unlawful or that you have no right to; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; or work around the monthly allowance by creating repeat installs.

If an install is clearly being used to abuse the service, we may rate-limit or block it. Where that happens to a paying subscriber and it is our mistake, tell us and we will put it right.

Availability and warranties

Quotebolt is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, that transcription will be accurate, or that a quote will be free of errors — and speech recognition in particular struggles with noise, accents and unusual surnames.

We rely on third parties (Apple, our hosting provider, and an AI provider) and cannot guarantee their uptime.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to your rights as a consumer, our total liability to you for any claim connected with Quotebolt is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for business losses — including a job priced too low, a job you did not win, or a quote that did not arrive.

Apple's part in this

These terms are between you and us, not between you and Apple. Apple is not responsible for Quotebolt or its content, and has no obligation to provide support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. If Quotebolt fails to conform to any warranty Apple is obliged to give, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.

Ending it

You can stop using Quotebolt at any time by deleting the app — which also deletes everything it holds on your phone, so export first if you want to keep your quotes. Cancel any subscription separately in the App Store, as above; deleting the app does not cancel it.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top, and material changes will be mentioned in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Quotebolt after a change means you accept it. If you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the law of the country you live in.
