Quotebolt turns a two-minute voice note into a priced, professional quote. Describe the job out loud, check the numbers, send it. If something is not working, email allenjoshsamson99@gmail.com and a human will read it.
The prices it came back with are wrong.
Every line is editable — tap it and change the quantity, unit or rate. The bigger fix is your price list: add the rates you actually charge and Quotebolt will use them verbatim instead of estimating. Lines it estimated are marked differently to lines that came from your own rates, so you can see at a glance which numbers to check.
It did not hear me properly.
Record somewhere reasonably quiet and hold the phone normally. Adding your usual items to your price list also improves recognition, because those names are used as a vocabulary hint. If the recogniser still struggles, use Type it instead — it goes through exactly the same pricing.
Do I need a signal?
Quotebolt is built to work in a basement. Your quotes, price list and PDFs are all on the phone. Sending a quote as a link, and the automatic chasing that goes with it, need a connection.
How many free quotes do I get?
Three a month on the free plan; Pro raises that to 200 a month and adds shareable quote links. Both are real ceilings — we would rather print the number than say “unlimited” and cut you off. Current prices are shown on the upgrade screen in the app.
What does my customer see when I send a link?
A clean one-page quote with your business name, logo colour, the line items, totals and your terms, plus Accept and Not right now buttons. No app, no login, no account. The address is long and random and search engines are told not to index it — but anyone you forward it to can open it, so treat it like an attachment.
Does it chase customers for me?
Yes, if you sent a link and put their email address on the quote. They get a gentle nudge three days later, and a heads-up shortly before the quote expires. Both stop immediately once they accept or decline. You get an email either way.
A customer said the link does not work.
Three reasons it stops working: the quote passed its valid-until date, you deleted the quote in the app (which revokes the link deliberately), or you used Erase everything. Rebuild the quote and send a fresh link.
Can I get my quotes out of the app?
Yes. Settings › Export quotes as CSV gives you a spreadsheet of everything you have quoted. Any individual quote can also be shared as a PDF.
I changed phone. Where did everything go?
Quotes live on the device, so they move with an encrypted iPhone backup restore. If you set the new phone up as new, they will not come across. Your subscription does — tap Restore purchases on the upgrade screen while signed in with the same Apple ID.
How do I delete everything?
Settings › Erase everything wipes your quotes, customers and price list from the phone and deletes any published quotes from our servers. It cannot be undone. To have your anonymous install record removed as well, email us — see our privacy policy.
What happens to my voice notes?
They are not kept. A recording is used to produce the text and then it is done with — we never write it to a database. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Quotebolt subscriptions are billed by Apple through your App Store account and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown in the app in your own currency.
Apple's own step-by-step guide is here: How to cancel a subscription from Apple.
When a subscription ends you keep every quote you have already made. You drop back to the free monthly allowance, and shareable links stop being available for new quotes.
If you paid and the app still shows you as free, tap Restore purchases on the upgrade screen. If that does not fix it, email us with the date of purchase and we will sort it.
Every one of those is optional and can be changed later in the iPhone Settings app under Quotebolt.
Email us and say what you were doing when it went wrong. A screenshot helps enormously. We aim to reply within two working days.
